In a unexpected partnership that breaks conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Disclosed

According to the formal release, "A strange meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of forbidden practices and terrifying changes resonate through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.

The adventure centers on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Transformations

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Additional Content

Players who accomplish the mission will receive an exclusive katana together with several artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
